The Mission of the VDS is to support its community of Dermatologists united in the promotion of Leadership, Education, Advocacy, and Professionalism in order to deliver the highest standard of care.
Our MISSION and VISION
The goal of Virginia Dermatology Society is to provide opportunities for professional networking, building local peer relationships, advocacy and a voice on local legislative issues, educational and community service opportunities, as well as leadership development.
Residents and students have the opportunity to interact with trainees and attendings from other Academic programs and meet community dermatologists from across the Commonwealth.

Model State Award Winner
The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and members of the State Society Relationship Committee (SSRC) awarded the Virginia Dermatology Society the 2024 Model State Award. This Award recognizes the Society’s Achievements in advocacy, education, community impact, and member development.
